We Arrived at Laredo - First Stop is Sam's Club

 We arrived in Laredo - first stop was at Sam's Club to pick up large food order! We will spend the week preparing all the meals for the kids and staff at Casa Hogar along with preparing outreach meals.

Brenda Lokken headed up the Food Ministry team this year - she placed a huge pre-order at Sam's Club and then when we arrive, we pick up and transfer into the bus for transport across the border.

 The weather is sweltering! I'm guess it was in the high 90's and very humid. We are reminding everyone to be especially conscious of drinking lots of water and putting sunscreen on to protect our "Minnesota winter skin" that hasn't seen much sunlight lately!

We made sack suppers to take with us on the bus as we never know how long the border crossing will take.
